Use It & Break It

Add your real clothes, try out outfit suggestions, and let us know what's broken, confusing, or missing. Honest feedback only.

What we need from you

Use the app for a few days with your actual clothes. No fake data — we want real-world testing.

Snap your clothes

Take photos of your real wardrobe items and add them to the app.

Try AI suggestions

Ask for outfit ideas and see what the AI comes up with.

Report bugs

Found something broken? Tell us. The weirder the bug, the better.

Share feedback

What feels off? What do you wish it did? We're all ears.

Tips for best results

The AI works best with clean, isolated photos of your clothing.

Photograph on a ghost mannequin or flat surface

For the best outfit suggestions and wardrobe visuals, try photographing your clothes on a ghost mannequin or laid flat on a clean surface. This gives the AI a clear view of the garment without background clutter.

On a paid plan or paid BYOK key: Our AI automatically enhances your photos — removes backgrounds, cleans up lighting, and isolates the garment. No extra work needed.

On a free BYOK key: Image enhancement isn't available (Google doesn't support image generation on free keys). A workaround: ask Gemini or ChatGPT to remove the background from your photo first, then upload the cleaned image to Outfii. A little extra effort, but it'll be handled automatically on paid plans.

Testing AI features with BYOK

Outfii uses Google Gemini for AI features like outfit suggestions, style analysis, and wardrobe insights. To use them, you'll need to bring your own Gemini API key (BYOK).

How to set up your API key

  1. Go to Google AI Studio and create a free Gemini API key
  2. Open Outfii, go to Settings, and paste your key
  3. That's it — all AI features are now unlocked

Your key is encrypted on-device and never stored on our servers.

Heads up: Image enhancement needs a paid API key

Google's free Gemini API keys don't support image generation, so the AI image enhancement feature (cleaning up clothing photos) won't work with a free key. Everything else — outfit suggestions, style analysis, wardrobe insights — works perfectly on the free tier.
